, you would be wrong. yes, there is word this morning of a shirtless fbi agent. before we get into that, let's talk about the serious implications of the sordid scandal. federal investigators search broadwell's home last night and carried out boxes and boxes of stuff, including a computer. tom fuentes is former fbi assistant director. morning, tom. >> morning, carol. >> as you watch all of this unfold, i want to get your thoughts on it. >> it appears that the fbi has received new information that there may be classified material or something either in documents or on her computers at the residen residence. she gave permission, so it was a consensual search. they went ahead and conducted that search last night and remo removed some material, which will be examined at the office in more detail. if i could add, if it had been really serious usually the fbi, if they were trying to be extra cautious, would go ahead and get a warrant even if permission is given for a consensual search. it really -- the fact that it was consensual, we don't know what exactly information they received to prompt

threatening you. we don't know what happened there. that may have been what caused the fbi to be contacted by jill kelley. i'm purely speculating there. but that's where the fbi became involved and interested in the e-mail exchanges between jill kelley and general john allen. in his opinion, innocuous entirely, but that seems to be the spark that dragged him into this particular investigation. again, this senior official saying, no sexual relationship between these two people at all. >> all right. nick payton walsh for us, obviously this is having effects around the world, getting information, trickles of information pouring in from around the world. nick, appreciate your reporting, thank you. >>> let's go down to the pentagon for more on general allen's communication with jill kelley. barbara starr is there. we're hearing about tens of thousands of documents handed over to investigators, just how much contact really did kelley have with the top commander in afghanistan because the numbers sound just unbelievable, 10,000 documents. >> don't they? it sounds staggering. it might actually be

answers. why didn't the fbi inform them of the investigation? and what does this mean for this week's senate hearing on the tedly attack in libya? barbara starr is at the pentagon. barbara, general petraeus was to be a primary witness in that closed door hearing. what now? >> well, by all accounts he will not appear at this week's hearing. the man who will is mike morrell, his deputy and ci airks, now essentially the acting director of the agency. mr. morrell, a highly respected intelligence professional, has been with the agency for many, many years. would know all the same information that david petraeus knows. but the question on the table, carol, is whether that's going to be politically enough for congress. are they so irritated about this entire matter that they will subpoena petraeus in the weeks ahead and compel him to come testify about what he knows about the benghazi attacks? >> barbara starr reporting live for us at the pentagon this morning. this affair is baffling on so many levels. how could a man with such a pristine reputation show such awful judgment? and how could

of justice in the form of the fbi on to team 6. now, as far as i've heard, this has never been done before. we're not focusing on what's important here. we still have the northeast part of the country ravaged in the aftermath of hurricane sandy with no power or water, and now we've got a benghazi incident that's going to come out and get ugly after the congressional hearings kick back up next week. so we're focusing on a video game right now, and as far as i know, of all the taliban and al qaeda compounds we've taken over in the last ten years, we have never found a first-person shooter video game there. none. we found a lot of porn. no video games. so this is not going to be used as a tool to aid al qaeda in the taliban in their trista agendas. it's not a training or recruiting tool. it's silly. this is a knee jerk reaction. and ten years ago, the navy gave full access to david sears of soft studios in north carolina to all their equipment and men and materials to make a video game. so it seems like they just changed the rules overnight and guys got caught up in that gray change area, and
